More hairdressing tales!

Friday 22 April 2011

I popped to the hairdressers today (as we are leaving town for a few days to head to Suzhou) - another experience to add to the many!  I just finished getting my hair washed, and a conditioning cream treatment put on to it when all the lights in the shop went out, with a complete power failure.  I was ushered to the door, and out onto the street - with my hair still wet, covered in cream - with a plastic bag on my head to top it all off!  The shop staff tried to get me on to the back of a very small moped owned by one of the hair stylists; all of whom are around the same height and build as my 10 year son; then deciding it was just too small, wheeled out a slightly bigger version to try and squeeze me onto that!. As I was still too big to sit over the rear wheel of what looked like a toy moped for me, they decided I should catch a taxi - so there I stood by the side of the road, on the street, still wearing a plastic bag on my head, as my stylist waved down a taxi and we both got inside to go to another shop that did have electricity!!!

Well, you just have to go with the flow, don't you!  And, I must say - I'm rarely disappointed!  There is always some unexpected new experience waiting just around the corner!!  I love it!!!
